Long Live the New! was inspired by the life and struggles of a friend who left a lucrative, powerful life in a very dark realm to live a brand new, forgiven life of faith as a result of an unexpected encounter with God.

Over lunch, he told Mark how hard it is to go through financially tough times, when he knows what he could have if he went back to that old way of life. Mark said, “Well praise God the old man is dead! Long live the new!” As soon as those words came out of his mouth, Mark realized it had to be a song!
