What do I hear myself saying and why do I say it so much?

So many times I catch myself believing that lie

How long has this been going on; dare I disagree?

It keeps coming back even if I try

But here’s what I will believe

I’ll believe it before I feel it; I’ll receive it before I see it

I’ll read Your word I’ll speak Your words 

I’ll pray it, I’ll think it, Your truth is my truth

I’ll keep fighting and there will be no truce 

Cause I’m Your warrior…that’s what I believe 

I’ll keep fighting the good fight

But in Your strength, no not mine

I know You’re always with me

Even when I’m blind

I’ll let my words reflect Your work

I’ll let Your words define my worth

The pathway’s clear, no longer blurred

Here’s what I believe

Goes against what You have to say

In the fights I face this day
