I was taking a morning walk around a lake near our house. There were some low clouds on the horizon and the sun was coming up behind them. (I am a sunrise and sunset lover. I would catch them all if I could.) There was no wind and the lake was like glass with some ducks making ripples in the water as they traveled along. It was very serene. I grabbed a photo then just stood there and started singing to my self. The chorus came right then so I put the words down and recorded the melody. 

Later I shared it with Cindy to get her ideas. Then I took it all into a song write with Justin White and we finished the song as you hear it now. May the beauty this picture represents be a powerful reminder of the hope and renewal the Lord offers us as His children when we look to Him. --Mark Alewine
